PARK & PLAY PROGRAM

A new partnership between Metropolis, MVAN, Nashville Musicians Association, and the Office of Nightlife was recently launched in an effort to support Nashville’s working class musicians and independent venues. Park & Play provides 100% free parking for local musicians at 20+ locations across Nashville, making it even easier to get from gig to gig and keep our city's music scene thriving.

“Many people are eager to express support of Nashville’s music scene, but far fewer step up and find ways to truly support it.” Says Chris Cobb, Director of MVAN. “Metropolis is taking real action to foster our local music community, offering direct support to Nashville’s musicians and independent venues. Their Park & Play Program is the latest evidence that they are true allies of our city’s unique music culture and those who create it. Metropolis has been a terrific partner to date, and we look forward to continuing to work together. We hope others will follow their lead and ask how we can all work together to help keep Nashville Music City.”

There are two primary ways musicians can participate:

Play a stage within the Music Venue Alliance Nashville: Any musicians performing at an independent venue that's a member of the Music Venue Alliance Nashville will be eligible for the discount. Member venues will have a QR code available to share ahead of each show, or for scanning upon load in, day of show.

Be a member of the Nashville Musicians Association, AFM Local 257. All active members of the NMA are also eligible to participate. Contact NMA for more information at 615-244-9514.
